Awesome Historical Places of Madhya pardesh

Madhya Pradesh is having a rich ancient historical places. The state exhibits a landscape left out with various trademark preferences of the rulers. It also maintains difference for nestling 3 well-known World Heritage Sites, as declared by UNESCO namely Khajuraho temples, Bhimbetka Caves and Sanchi Buddhist monuments.

Each of the historical places in India is an architectural representation that give up a tribute to the rulers under whose rule it saw construction. While the temples and Sanchi monuments represents the beauty attainable in stone, Bhimbetka Caves pictorially represents the majesty of art. Apart from this, Madhya pradesh also conserves many other monuments. Each monument of the state sigh out an unique story of its own. Among the monuments there are some famous historical places in India.

Rajwada Palace:

Rajwada Palace is an superb fusion of French, Mughal & Maratha architectural style and is an inheritance of the Holkar rulers in Indore. With a 200 years of old history, this seven-storied structure is an impressive monument in the heart of the city. Its upper floors are made of wood and the lower three floors are made of stone. The place endures three fire breakouts. Among them the most distressing one in 1984. The debris of the stern portion, with landscaped gardens & ponds, forms a chief draw.

Jai Vilas Palace :

Jai Vilas Palace is a luminous white sandstone palace. This Palace of Gwalior was built by Sir Michael Filose. It is designed to resemble an Italian palazzo, the palace which was built to welcome the 'Prince of Wales'. It is a structure admirably creates Italianate structure, with Tuscan and Corinthian architectural modes. At present 35 of its many rooms form the Jai Vilas Museum and display the royal memorabilia of the Scindias.

Lal Bagh Palace:

Lal Bagh Palace is prominent for its rich history and imposing architecture. It was built in the year 1886 by Tukoji Rao Holkar II.Its construction was carried out in three phases finally saw completion in 1921, under Tukoji Rao Holkar III. Its classic architecture, complemented by sprawling lawns, which is a notable sight. Today, a part of the building converted into a museum preserves rare murals and other antique artifacts belonging to the Holkars.

Sanchi Stupas :

Sanchi has been recognized for the Stupas which were built on the peak of a hill. It the Buddhist monuments of Sanchi, earn special mention due to their meticulous architecture. The intention of these stupas was mostly religious. The most likely use of the stupas has been said to keep the ruins. It is enlisted as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Apart from Stupas & monasteries, there are also Chaityas, gateways and temples in Sanchi. 

Khajuraho Temples:

The architectural way of the Khajuraho temples is extremely dissimilar from the temple prototype of that period. Each stands, instead of within the customary enclosure, on a high masonry platform. The Khajuraho group of monuments has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is one of the most visited destinations of India. These temples are richly carved with excellent sculptures which are sensual and erotic. There are several explanations behind these carvings on the outside walls of the temples. Some group say one must leave his/ her sexual desire before entering the temple. While others say these sculptures depict many aspects of life and erotica is only one part of it.

Gwalior Fort:

The Gwalior fort is one of the wonderful structures which were built during the ruler’s area in medieval style. The Fort of Gwalior has naped for long in silence.
